Two pieces of speaker wire

Following are the steps involved in the hooking up process.

1. Strip it first
The ends of the speaker wire should be stripped at first so that a ½ inch of the bare wire will be shown on each end.

2. Connect both the ends
The one end of the first piece of speaker should be connected to the inner side of the terminal cup in the JBL subwoofer box. Before connecting both these you need to understand the feature of the terminal metal cap in the JBL subwoofer. This piece will be having two metal tabs in which there will be already set screws marked as positive sign “+” and also negative sign of “_” for your convenience. Now you should loosen the screw and place underneath the bare wire end in perfect manner and then tighten them back down. In the same manner it is essential that you connect the other end of the wire to the JBL subwoofer terminals as well correctly. Once you have connected then you should start pushing down on the terminals of the subwoofer and then the bare end of the wire should be inserted in to the holes that will appear. While doing this connection to the speaker wires it is essential that you check if you are connecting the positive terminals that are marked with “+” in the terminal cup in to the positive terminal of the JBL subwoofer. Similarly you need to carefully connect the negatively marked as “_” terminals of the terminal cup to the negative terminal of the JBL subwoofer.

3. Secure the JBL subwoofer
The next step is to place the JBL subwoofer in to the subwoofer’s cut out box and make it secure with the wooden screws. In the outer rim of the subwoofer there are predrilled holes where the wooden screws will go through and thus your JBL subwoofer will be secure in its place of the wooden box.

4. Steps involved in the hooking up of the second piece of speaker
From the second piece of speaker wire it is essential that you take one end and then start connecting it with the wire of the cup terminals on the outside of the sub box. Then you should watch carefully to connect the other wire ends to the amplifier. You need to connect the positive “+” to the positive and the negative “_” to the negative respectively. Then you should fire and charge up your system and start enjoying the ecstasy of bass courtesy in your JBL subwoofer.
